Rosanna Sloan
Light UP LAMDA Founder
Rosanna is the Artistic Director of Unexpected Places, a performing arts charity which tours across the country, and sister company Light UP, a thriving youth theatre based in Southampton.
Rosanna started teaching the LAMDA syllabus at Stagecoach, before she founded Light UP. She was immediately drawn to the syllabus's integration of theory-based and practical learning; this stems from her training at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama, where she trained in European Theatre Arts.
Ten years on, Rosanna has taught LAMDA in a variety of settings; she has set up LAMDA classes in schools and youth theatres, as well as offering private tuition. Alongside Rosanna's work with Unexpected Places, she is currently the LAMDA teacher at Bedales School in Petersfield.
Rosanna began training fellow LAMDA teachers in 2018. Due to popular demand, she began creating the Light UP LAMDA Resource Bank to support teachers all year round.
